Junior Actuarial Reporting Analyst (suitable for fresh graduates)

 

We are looking for a driven individual who will play a key role in a collaborative team built around actuarial market consistent valuations. Main responsibilities within this role are support implementation of actuarial reporting and analysis under the IFRS 17 standard and SST for a newly arising business.

Your role

 

As a Junior Actuarial Reporting Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Perform calculations and produce analyses under IFRS 17 and Swiss Solvency Test regulations with guidance of your senior colleagues.
  • Support Group reporting process including reconciliations between various reporting bases.
  • Analyze important actuarial metrics such as new business profit margin, loss experience, loss trends and expenses.
  • Provide suggestions and implement optimizations for the local reporting process.

 

Your skills and experience

 

As a Junior Actuarial Reporting Analyst, your basic skills and experience will ideally include:  

 

  • Master’s degree in mathematics / statistics / finance or a similar area.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude.
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • English fluent in written and spoken (B2)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

 

It would be a big plus, but is not required, if you’d have:

 

  • Experience working with IFRS 17 or other market consistent valuations.
  • Experience communicating analysis results.
  • Programming skills in Python, R or VBA.

Compensation for roles at Zurich depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific role, skill set, level of experience, and subject to applicable law. Zurich thus provides a range of compensation aligned to internal job architecture and market benchmarks to ensure fair and consistent pay for comparable roles.

 

The starting base salary range for this position is 1930 EUR.
